In a world full of twist of fates, passion, and more importantly greed, Gabriel Heinze, United’s Player of the Season voted by supporters a couple of years ago has gone off to Real Madrid following a summer full of intriguing twists and turns. As SAF pointed out, he’s a good man, a warrior, and I couldn’t disagree with him, but too bad in today’s world, the world of agents holds a large portion of the player’s fate. Liverpool has tried to dig into this advantage only for Premier League to conclude that United has every right to block his “dream” move to the Merseyside based on whatever clause that was stated in his contract.
I’m glad that it’s all over, I’m just so glad. I just thought it’s a distraction to everyone and with us picking up 2 points from 3 matches, having off-court issue being dragged long (if Heinze pursued the appeal to the Premier League as he originally suggested), it’s the last thing that we want. Off to Madrid for 8 million pounds and I wish this lad all the best. That might be good move for him with Roberto Carlos gone now.
One thing though that I can’t understand is that why is he pushing the move to Liverpool so hard? They’ve already got Riise there firmly established, and does he think he can just swoosh past this guy? Not a chance.
Anyway, the whole saga has ended. Let’s use the money for a striker!!
