United will entertain Coventry City at Old Trafford in the third round of the Carling Cup

Manchester United will open their Carling Cup quest this season at home to Championships’ boys of the moment, Coventry City. The red hot Skyblues, who’s now led by Iain Dowie, will be making the trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday, September 26. Expect Sir Alex to give his “B” team a chance to shine on this match. I’d think Pique, Evans, and the likes of Eagles, as well as Danny Simpson might be involved in this game.
