MAN UTD 2 - BOLTON 0

March 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Captain of the dayTwo awesome goals, a night of record, 32 goals and counting, what more can I say for the United’s skipper of the day?  Cristiano Ronaldo made the night a remarkable one with a remarkable free kick, one could describe as the new age of freekick technique.  No one has ever demonstrated a success with that kind of method, or even attempted to do that and I am just darned proud to be a United fan.  I guess life does teach someone a good lesson, and CR has learnt and grown into not only a player but a person that can only get better ever since his “bad” behavior incident with Rooney in the World Cup.

The win put United at the top of the table with 3 points advantage and 10 goals difference with Arsenal with 8 more games left to play.  The Bolton game marked a 3 successive home games United will have with the two remaining a massive ones, being Liverpool this weekend and Aston Villa the following week.

The race is tight and anyone who slipped off any beat of concentration will pay for the price.  As Chelsea was held to a 4-4 thriller at the Lane on the same night, it still a 3-horse race though Liverpool could be a little hopeful if they could do “something” at Old Trafford.  As much as that what the Merseyside thought they can do, reality is Liverpool is too much of a two-man show being Gerrard and Torres.  It’ll be a loud game and I just can’t wait for this one!
