It was heart-breaking, disastrous, anything you’d say when all you need is a draw and you were smashed with a potentially season defining lost. Not to mention, Chelsea hasn’t lost at Stamford Bridge for the last 4 years (yes, you heard it right, 4 years!!!), and it wasn’t pretty after all for all the games they’ve played whether it was with the “Special” Mourinho or the expressless Grant. Nevertheless, credit to their players for showing respect for Pat Lampard after scoring the first goal.
United now need to win the remaining two games with potentially relegation decider for Steve Bruce’s Wigan Athletics on the last day of the Premiership on May 11. Playing at home this weekend to West Ham shouldn’t be a problem although we all know the last two meetings United had with this London side, they all resulted in losses.
This is a test of character, especially with the huge game against Barca coming up this week, but this is what GREAT team is made of. If Ronaldo and co. couldn’t get through this hurdle, then they’re nowhere near the 1999 team, although playing wise they might be prettier. FIGHT ON UNITED!!!
