Disorganized United Lost to Kops: Liverpool 2 - MAN UTD 1

September 14th, 2008 · No Comments

This is probably one of the worst games that United has in the recent years. Disorganized, lack of passion, confused, no movements, and whatever else that you can relate to a team ready to collect an L at the end of a game.  More than anything else, I think it was a bad tactical error from SAF.  Rooney on the right wing, Berbatov literally ineffective for the second 45 minutes, Giggs playing in the midfield, Fletcher not involved at all (especially when the midfield is bossed by Alonso, well excuse me, Al what??? …

Alright, the bottom line is  SAF might be missing the reality check that Carlos Queiroz always give on every game, including snatching a 1-0 win ondifficult away games like this at Anfield.  Why would you keep playing Rooney on the wing when you’ve got Nani, Giggs and you’re leading 1-0?  Furthermore, Anderson who is an engine in the heart of midfield is not having that freedom, even when Carrick got injured.  And how about putting Vidic upfront on desperation knowing we have Chelsea game next week?

Well, only time can tell whether SAF is still going strong with his tactical genius now with Mike Phelan on his side?  No one to argue with him??
